‘Grow, Grow’ is Ayu Okakita’s persona, it’s about her own growth through music, the voice within and knowing to be an experimental being.

 

On the album, expect to hear a huge variety of genres and most of all - a start to finish journey that will take you through all your emotions from wanting to dance to reflecting on your own growth with some beautiful ballads.

2001年にメジャーデビューし、アルバム2枚を発表。

2003年にバンド”PABLONIK”でアルバム「音速」を発表。

その後、自身の音楽活動を見直すべくレーベルを抜け、
2004年に活動拠点をイギリスに移す。

2008年にソロアルバム「Cyan Dreams of Miss Ashleen」を発表。

2009年にバンド”Nedry”として活動開始。

“Monotreme Records”よりアルバムを2枚発表。

”Sonar Music Festival”、”Roskilde Festival”をはじめとする様々なフェスに出演し、ヨーロッパツアーを行う。

帰国後、構想に4年以上かけた「sayonara dance」を2019年に発表。

現在も、様々なジャンルにインスパイアされ、作詞作曲に留まらず、編曲、プログラミング、レコーディング、ミックスダウンまでをもすべて一人でこなす。

ライブも積極的に行い、それまでのルーパーによる多重録音の弾き語りのスタイルに加えて、最近ではラップトップやドラムパッドのコントローラーがステージに持ち込まれている。2023年10月20日に新しいアルバム「Grow, Grow」をリリース。
